About Ruth
Ruth joined the Midlands ITS Team in 2011 as a Creative Expressive Facilitator. Following her graduation from Derby University with a BAHons in Creative Expressive Therapies, Ruth embarked on undergraduate training in Music Therapy.
Prior to training in CET Ruth studied music and performing arts academically for 7 years, culminating in studying at the British Academy of New Music in London.
Ruth has most recently provided music workshops for the Derby Children's Hospital and also in mainstream educational settings. She also regularly provides music workshops for vulnerable adults with charities including Rethink and Derbyshire Voice.
Ruth is highly creative and adaptive, implementing interpersonal and communication skills. She is inspired by conceptual and positive influences and believes that where appropriate, music can have a powerful impact.
