About Peter
Peter has joined the ITS team recently as part of the expanded Psychological Services Team as an NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist.
Within his practice Peter has provided support and facilitiation to adolescents and adults on an individual basis. Implementing neurological re-patterning techniques Peter has worked with individuals whom may wish to alter negative behaviours, address lifestyle patterns which may encourage negative associations and explore addictions.
Peter aims to support the individual to independently make decisions/appropriate lifestyle changes and suggest strategies which can aid behavioural changes to be managed on a long term basis.
Peter provides regular support on a volunteer basis to local HIV charities where he provides group meditation and Reiki sessions. The charities support a wide client group for those affected by/with HIV/AIDS. Peter is highly conversant with many aspects of HIV and has supported many individuals with spirituality, counselling, advice and medication/side effects. He also has an interest in the rising prevalence of HIV/AIDS within corrective centres/prisons.
As a multi-disciplinary therapist Peter provides the individual with the opportunity to work therapeutically in a way which is personalised and appropriate. This includes not only talking therapies but also a more physical approach including body work, dance and movement to address inhibitions, break down barriers and access the physical symptoms which may be a by-product of the emotional root. Peter also addresses the emotional issues associated with physical disabilities.
