ITS therapists have experience of working with settings to advise and guide management teams in the following areas:
- Developing effective communication environments
- Advising around special educational needs and statutory procedures
- Developing policies within settings to reflect the communication needs of the students/service users
- Securing funding from commissioners to support students’ placements
- Supporting parents on statutory entitlements, including statementing procedures
- Curriculum development and differentiation

On meeting with the service coordinator, we look to gain a brief around the piece of work and agree a timescale to complete such work. ITS therapists may:
- Work with the team directly developing policies/procedures or approaches.
- Research relevant information to the piece of work on the setting’s behalf
- Put clients in contact with relevant agencies and further disciplines that may offer relevant support.
- Develop audits to research the required area
